Physically Identifying a PXI-6259 (Backplane Capability or Not?)

I have a PXI 1050 PXI/SCXI chassis where I have ordered 3 PXI-6259 cards.  I know I ordered one of them specifically for backplane communication and when the chassis arrived all the cards were installed with one of the 6259's being all the way to the right (PXI slot 8).  I am having some issues mapping the SCXI cards in MAX, and I am wondering if this is the correct 6259 in the 8th slot.....how can I tell by looking at it?

There are no usable markings on the card itself from what I can see....

Hi Jmc006,

To control the SCXI portion of the chassis the PXI card must have a full PXI backplane connector. PXI modules with the Hybrid connector do not have the local bus connections required for SCXI control. KB: PXI M Series That Can Be Used to Control SCXI in a PXI/SCXI Combo Chassis and KB: SCXI Modules Not Selected Automatically In PXI-SCXI Combo Chassis have pictures of what the backplane connector should look like. The backplane connector should look like the connector in the first picture.

Which chassis are you using? I'm assuming it's the 1050. If you are having trouble finding the SCXI cards in MAX even with the correct card in the right-most slot check out the PXI-1052 User Manual or the SCXI Quick Start Guide.

Hopefully this helps,
