Point Grey Research Flea2 IEEE1394b camera freezes using NI Vision Acquisition Aug 2014 or newer

Hi folks,

it seems that something changed from NI Vision Acquisition February 2014 (or earlier) to Aug 2014. PGR Flea2 IEE1394b camera gives timeouts running in extenal triggered mode when using NI VA Aug 2014. On another system using 4 firewire cameras I cannot initialize all cameras anymore after updating to NI VA Aug 2014. Downgrade to Feb 2014 solved the problem. I am using Ni-IMAQdx vi to access the camera(s).

Any ideas what may have been changed in NI VA? Maybe just some (more) settings have to be done?

Hi Torsten,

do you use a line scan camera and do you mean with "external triggered mode" that you use the line trigger?

What do you mean with you can't initialize all cameras? Do you get an error message or an error code?
