Pre-Cache all runtimes for compiled projects on my laptop

Hi!

I ran into an issue while on company travel last week.  My boss needed some data processing code and I made something in LabVIEW for him.  The problem was, I used some of the filtering VIs (I assume) came from the SignalExpress installation.  When I tried to compile my project into an Executable w/ Installer I was prompted for the SignalExpress CD/DVD in order to continue.  Of corse, I was on travel and did not bring my NI Developer disc set so I was unable to get the product to my boss who wasn't very happy about that.

Long story short:  Is there anyway for me to pre-cache these run-times/libraries so that I am not prompted for a CD when compiling my project and making an installer?  I know that once it has prompted you there is an option to "cache" the resource for future builds, but I want to cache everything now before the need comes up.

I see no options for this in the LabVIEW installation (upgrading to 8.5.1 now, as my disc set arrived the other day).

Thanks for your help!

Nic,

Only way that comes to mind is to create a dummy installer and select everything under the sun under the addtional installers tab.  Build it once and everything should be cached.

Thats a good idea.  One thing, however, that relates to the SignalExpress CD is that I did not select a SignalExpress runtime to be part of the installer....

Why don't you just make an image of your instalation cd/dvd and store it somewhere on your hdd? I think this is the easiest way. You have the cd/dvd always with you.
