Is there a "preferred" grid spacing for block diagrams? That is, a spacing that usually allows wires to fall on spacings that line up cleanly? Do people have "favorite" spacings for some reason?
Thanks

I have mine turned off. Does that count? I suppose that would count for a spacing of zero.
If you're interested in wires lining up cleanly you may want to vote for this idea:

Well, turning it off is a solution, but I'm an old geezer, and "snap to grid" is my friend. But if I don't find a spacing that seems to work pretty well for me, I will in fact turn it off.
Thanks,

I, too, turn it off due to confusion of the grid with wires (especially booleans). However, I like a wire spacing which allows me to put labels between the wires, so I would set it based on whatever font you are using. This will be in the 10 to 14 pixel range.
You can also set the contrast to zero to avoid the wire confusion problem

General consensus is that we all turn it off - I agree with the above reasons. Perhaps, you could try a different route... set the parameters on your Block Diagram Cleanup tool to be wider (more pixels between elements). I know this is not an ideal solution, especially for block diagrams with many nodes, but perhaps it will allow for better usability while keeping a decent style on the BD. Just thinking out loud how to make wiring and alignment easier without "Snap to Grid".
