Print window error / bug

Hi,

I have the following problem:

A have an application which can plot data in a xy graph. The user has the option to use the build in command "Print Window" which will print the actual view of the vi. The problem is that the at the print the xy graph has changed and the curves are no longer correct. But when I use capture the screen using Print Screen key on my keyboard and copy that into an image the xy graph is correct. Has anyone seen the behavior?

This is a big issue for me since people may take along the print out and use it for data analysis, I hope someone can help me.

I have attached two pictures so that you can see what I mean. Both should look like the "PrintScreen"

The screenshots you show don't look like LabVIEW at all.

Could it be something else like Diadem?

Hi,

No it is pure LabVIEW, and the error/bug is only when I have used the zoom function on the graph.

Hi Svendsen,

This sounds like a known issue, can you please provide me with this information about your system:

  • LabVIEW version (Including SP version if any)
  • Operating system of the computer where the problem occurs
  • Do you see the problem in the development enviroment, run-time or other?

A solution for you right now could be to create a Invoke Node of the XY graph indicator with the method Export Image and save it to a file on your system.

 XY Invoke Node.PNG
