Probelms getting a Real Time Target PC to Recognize a 6323

I have a RT PC with a NI 6323 DAQ PCIe board installed and when I boot into the Real Time OS and look in MAX the board does not show up and I get several time out and unknown errors in MAX. On the RT side I get the error: NIHWDBDD.dll not found. When I boot the PC into Windows the board is installed and works through MAX. I have tried reinstalling DAQmx 9.2.2 on the RT and still with no luck. Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated. On the host side I have Windows 7 with MAX 4.7.1 and DAQmx 9.2.2 Thanks.

Do you know if your host computer has a firewall that blocks the connection to MAX?

What Ports Do I Need to Open on My Firewall for National Instruments Software Products?

If not, the easiest and most effective step, may be to format and restore the RT PC from within MAX or by using the Real-Time USB Utility. The DLL not found isn't expected, and a reformat should remedy that problem as well.

No the fire wall is off on the computers in question. I tried pulling the board and uninstalling the software, with the board out MAX recognized the board, but not as active. When I reinstalled the software, then the board, MAX recognized the board until MAX refreshed. I am going to try formatting and reinstalling the RT sometime later this week. Thanks.

Reformatted the hard drive and booted the RT system and reinstalled the software. The first time the RT system booted with the software installed, I got no error message but MAX did not recognize the 6323, the second time I booted into RT the same dll was missing. I am working under the assumption that the card works since when the computer is booted into windows MAX identifies the card and it passes the self test. I also hooked AO0 into AI0 and verified that the card worked in MAX. Besides DAQMx is there other software I need installed on the RT target or did I miss a step? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

As an update and to add more information, I got MAX to see the card, but with the following error codes: 229823 and when I tried to reset the device 201039. After a few more restarts of the RT system MAX stopped recognizing the card. Hopefully this helps in finding a solution. Thanks in advance for any help.

Could you post the software you have installed on the RT system? It may be possible that there is a conflict between some of the software installed.

As a work around, can you copy the NIHWDBDD.DLL from C:\Program Files\National Instruments\RT Images\NI-DAQmx to ftp://RTPC-IP/ni-rt/system/?

If so, does this resolve the issue?
