Problem Installing Labview 2012 x64. How to Downgrade MAX easily.

Installed Labview 2012 32 bit.

Works Fine

Performed all Service Upgrades.

Works Fine

Now went to install Labview 2012 64 bit.

Doesn't work  -  message in installer:

NI LabVIEW 2012 (incompatible with products already installed)

I am thinking that the NI Update service upgraded MAX to version 5.3.3f2  and now that is imcompatible with Labview 2012 x64 bit that I just downloaded from the NI Website.

Now how to uninstall MAX without uninstalling everything else....   Or is that the Problem.

Hi

You can uninstall MAX without uninstalling everything if you go to ControlPanel->Uninstall a program-> National Intruments Software, then it will prompt a window with all the NI software that you have installed, there you should pick the NI System Configuration (NI-MAX) to remove it, then you will need to download it again, but this is not your problem

Actually, I have the same version of NI-MAX and I have both versions of LabVIEW x64 and x86, are you sure that your computer and operating system fulfils all the requirements for that version of LabVIEW?

Actually, I cannot uninstall MAX without installing a lot of other things.    Did you try and Click on ControlPanel->Uninstall a program-> National Intruments Software, then actually select MAX and try to remove it?  When you do this, the System lists about 20- 30 other programs that are dependant on MAX and wants to uninstall everything.  Including Programs that I have written and installed using installers!!!!!!!!  That is what is actually stopping me from just pressing the remove button.  I dont want to have to go and install all my other Written Programs again.

My computer is definetly fine for the x64 bit install.

LabVIEW 2012 x64 will not get past the first step in the installer, after I have the x32 bit version installed and updated.

So now I am in the process of uninstalling MAX, plus 256 other things.
