Hello, im trying to test the agilent 34405a dmm using labview but when i connect it to max it says "windows does not have a driver associated with your device".

I tried downloading the drivers from this page https://www.keysight.com/us/en/lib/software-detail/driver/34405a-digital-multimeter-ivi-and-matlab-i...

Hi dom,

why don't you try the LabVIEW drivers offered by Keysight? (Wow, they are old…)

How do you connect your device to your computer? Which communication bus is used?

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi Gerd, i already have the labview driver installed. I think the problem here is the windows drivers instead, the device is connected via USB.

Hi dom,

usually you "just" need the correct USB-2-serial driver, typically from FTDI.

(Most often Windows should detect the needed driver on its own…)

What do the manuals from Keysight say about that topic?

Best regards,
GerdW

Some months ago windows asked for drivers for our Agilent 34410A, too. We had it installed on that PC for years, running measurements with it, suddenly they are gone, never to find them somewhere..Not sure if those old drivers lost a windows licence or something, cause it worked a long time..

The measurement is now manuall, if you find some, plz post them 🙂
