Problems running code written in NI-DAQ on Ni-DAQmx

Hi,
I am trying to run a code that was written on NI-DAQ on my new system that has NI-DAQmx.  It keeps searching for AOconfig.vi, AOwrite.vi, etc......  Can it not find them because I am using the mx version?  How can I fix this?

Thanks!

NI-DAQ (traditional) and NI-DAQmx are two different installs. Open MAX and expand the software listing. If you don't see Traditional NI-DAQ, install it from your LabVIEW distribution CDs or download the latest version. If you do see it listed but it's not available in LabVIEW, did you recently upgrade LabVIEW? If you did, you could reinstall NI-DAQ or just try copying the folders from the old LabVIEW folder to the new.

When I open MAX I have Traditional NI-DAQ.  I have just purchased and installed LabVIEW, so I don't have any previous version of NI-DAQ to reinstall.  The code I want to use is on a CD and works for others using the Traditional NI-DAQ system.

Can you find the traditional DAQ functions on your palette? If they are there, it could just be a difference in paths between the old version and where they are installed now. If they are on the palette, when you open the VIs, you can browse to the new location when asked for them.

When you install LV, there are some options. Keep in mind that the new version LV should have support with old version LV and traditonal DAQ not only MAX.

Use customization install, choose these options.
