Problems to get a connection between pc and cRIO with S.E.A Wireless LAN Module

Hi,

I had some difficulties to get a wireless lan connection between my pc and a CompactRIO. I installed the module according to the user manual. I also installed the configuration software. After this, I tried to create a new ad-hoc wireless lan connection from my pc with the settings I gave the module.

In the overview of available wireless networks of windows i did'nt see the network some times. But after several changes of the settings I could manage this. Now I'm confused about what I see. In this overview I see this network with best quality and next to the star the text "not connected". But the explanation below says soemthing like "This network requires a network key. You have a connection to this network in this moment. Click Disconnect to disconnect." So this is very confusing, because the icon in the task bar also shows no connection.

I tried to fix the problem with the measurement & automation explorer. But without an ethernet connection to the cRIO, it's impossible to change any setting. To assign fix ip-addresses to RIO and pc did'nt solve my problem.

Anybody there who can help me? Maybe solution is pretty easy.

Thanks
Andreas

Andreas,

have you already talked to S.E.A. about this issue? I would expect them to be able to help you out.

Kind regards,
