Let me revive this thread. I am the only labview programmer in my entire company. I own 1 licence of LV8, Multiples of 7.1 and at least one copy of 6i, 6, and 5. All are full versions. No upgrades.
I have read this post and was curious about the 3 computers per licence clause.
How does this apply to multiple single licence holders, in particular with older versions, 7.1 in particular.
I currently have 7.1 installed on 2 computers and frankly i thought i was being shady in doing that. The computers will never be used at the same time. Ive been told by a few people that the licences really only apply to the newest versions, and that my use of 7.1 was pretty much opened up having purchased newer versions.
Can someone explain this to me? i frequently change what physical computer im running lv on. but never is it installed on more than 3

Hi,
If you have bought single releases of LabVIEW i.e. full versions "NOT as a result of an upgrade" then the License agreement that came at the time of purchase for that product still applies. If you have got an upgrade then you can have the old LabVIEW copy the one you upgraded from bide to the new license agreement. e.g. if I had LV 7.1 and I got an upgrade to LV8 the Licence agreement that comes with LV8 can be used with my copy of LV 7.1.
I hope this helps!
Kind Regards,
