Prompting user to give filename of where they want data stored

I wish to save a set of data in a spreadsheet and give the user a pop up to type in the name they would like to save it by.

Does anyone know the best way of going about this?

On the functions palette go to File I/O >> Advanced File Functions >> File Dialog.

Hello Laura,

There are a lot of ways of doing what you want.
I assume that you are using the "Write to Spreadsheet file" function, so, perhaps the easiest way of doing it is leaving the file path input disconnected, it will automatically open a window asking for the file name and location.

If you just want the file name to be given by the user but the path remains the same ,you can pop up a window asking for the file name and when the user enters this you concatenate with the the the old path and get the new path.
