LabVIEW 6.1 (don't know about previous versions) comes with a little activity on property nodes. To find it open the LabVIEW Help, click on the 'Index' tab, and type in 'property'. In the resulting list select '(activity)' under 'Property Nodes'.
There are several example VI's that come with LabVIEW that use property nodes. You can find them by selecting 'Help' >> 'Search Examples' and searching for 'property nodes'
