Pt100 calibration

Hello there,

I am new in Labview and I'm having to calibrate two RTD PT-100 which were already configured by another pearson. The program is reading both temperatures but I don't know how accurate they are.
I wonder if I can calibrate the temperatures directly from Labview, using the DAQ Assistant.

Can anyone help me?

Well, the conversion and calibration of RTDs is done by the definition of the custom RTD parameters of the Callendar-Van Dusen equation. See DAQmx help.

I'm not aware that the parameter extraction from calibrations points (which are needed) can be done IN the DAQ assistant. However it's just a polynominal fit.

What type (and class)  of RTDs are  you using, and what uncertaincy are you hunting for?

What range is needed?

4 wire measurement?

Type of DAQ you are using?

Finally: What sources and references do you have to calibrate your setup?

Nice would be a triplepoint-cell 🙂

Always remember: The sensor will report the temperature it feels, that could or could not be the temperature of interest 😉
