Publishing a VI's revision number on its Front Panel

I can display a VI's Revision Number on its Front Panel when using the Development System, but when I build an exe from the VI and run it, the answer is always zero. I've downloaded the GetHistory.vi from the Code Library and built an exe from that, and get "Error 1043 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) in GetHistory.vi. Possible Reasons: LabVIEW: Feature not supported in this Application". What am I doing wrong?

Not all probery nodes are available in Application.
Unfortunately "History:Revision Number Property" not available in Run-Time Engine.

Hi,

If you use an ini file structure, you can store the "History:Revision Number
Property" while testing, in the ini file (and publish it on the front
panel).

If it's an exe, you can read the value from the ini file and publish it.

Not ideal, and only interresting if you already use an ini file structure,
but it works.

Thanks, I'll need to pay closer attention to what properties ARE available in then Run-time Engine in future.

Thanks for your comment, it looks like it will have to be an administrative task to store the revision number away, I was hoping to make it automatically updated.
