RS 232 synz

I'm using NI LabView 8.6 for data acquisition and loggering. I need to collect data of cell with which temperature is measured inside the cell. Fortunately, manufaturer provided a output which can be converted through D9 to the RS-232 port.

What can I do to acquire the data and synchronize them with the data I collect from NI9205? They should be displayed at the front panel under PC Host.

Time is a little tight and I get very little experience in Labview.

You should start by testing the com settings and serial cable with a terminal emulation program such as Hyperterminal or Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). Afterward, look at the couple of examples in LabVIEW. Open the example finder and search for 'serial'. There are also hundreds and hundreds of posts on serial communication. When you run into some problem, please do a search as odds are the problem has been endlessly discussed.

You have not provided the make and model of the instrument or the manual. They will need to be provided when you request additional help.

I have MA Explorer. When creating FPGA VIs, the measured analogue data (like through NI 9205) is easily acquired from FPGA I/O node option, but the data through cRIO-9014 port seems different. There is nopossible to treat them in a similar way?

Since this is a completely different question, you should start a new thread.
