labview impedance analyzer

[NSFUH]

Dear NI, 

I am about to set up an impedance analyzer in my lab. I know the operation of this instrument except for how can I extract data from it. I already have a GP-IB but the computer program needed in causing confusion. Since I am new to this field, your help would be really beneficial.

Maybe you should start your discussion with providing information on the exact type of device you want to setup. Reading its manual may provide the information you are looking for on "how to extract data"…

Are you new to LabVIEW in general - or "just" to using VISA for device communication?

To learn LabVIEW NI offers quite a lot of "Training resources" right at the top of the LabVIEW board. For VISA there are a lot of example VIs and also a huge number of device drivers you can use as inspiration…
