Hey Russ,
To get you started, I'd recommend you use the Real-Time Project Wizard which will set you up with the basic architecture you'll need. Instructions for using the wizard can be found here:

OK, helpful and I am guessing that one must go through Getting Started witht the LabVIEW Real-Time Module and the wizard to harness the power of Real-Time? Also, just a wild guess that one must have the sb-RIO device to debug and to
"Run as startup" per the "Getting Started"?
So now onto the original request.
