Recommended operating system for datalogging ?

Hello,

What operating system is recommended for a datalogging system with LabVIEW?

I'm using LV7.1 with a USB compactDAQ 9172 + NI 9205 (32 ch AI).

The application logs data with a dt from 1ms .. 10ms in ASCII files. Also there is a scope where optional all 32 channels will be visible.

Would a Win200x Server OS be a good deal!?

i would suggest to use Windows XP, since the server editions are not tested with LabVIEW.
