Recording data from a specific Virtual Instrument [MONITOR].vi

Hello,

I have recently joined a research group (I am new to LabVIEW), where for opto-physiological monitoring, they use a customised development tool used through the LabVIEW GUI.  It depicts the waveforms obtained from a sensor, it calculates the Heart Rate (bmp), Oxygen Saturation (SpO2%), Respiration Rate and automatically adjusts the LED intensity and gain for different channels.

I am sending you attached the LabVIEW Library File (MONITOR.llb), that has been created (not by me) for the purpose mentioned above, where all the Virtual Instruments are included. To depict in real time the waveforms obtained from the sensor the [MONITOR].vi is used.

In order to capture data through this live chart,  I run this .vi and export the data to an excel file by right clicking on the screen. Unfortunately I have noticed that only 6 sec of data are being captured by following this procedure, I am assuming at this point that the data captured is only from the waveforms that are shown on the screen at that moment until it is refreshed.

I would be grateful if you could guide me on how to create a datalog function to write data in for the whole session that this .vi is running. Maybe such function has already been built but I do not know how to use it.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Panos
