Hello everybody. I have multiple question regarding the use of Labview in a small embedded system. I have still little experience using Labview and programing HMI. I am interested in using an embedded controller (
http://www.spectra.de/produktliste.cfm?Kat1=MESS%2DAUTOMATISIERUNGSTECHNIK&Kat2=PROG%2E%20AUTOMATION...) in order to control a system. Because I need a very interestng User Interface (Animation and quality Images, like multimedia systems do) I am planning to use Adobe Flash for the Frontscreen (welcome screen and main menu). This User Interface will call then the subprograms, to be made with Labview, which will controll the system and aquire signals. Among the devices that are supposed to be control is a Touchscreen (no keyboard), a usb camera, switches and motors, using I/O devices or RS232. Additional the NI Vision package will be needed.
I would apreciate any tips regarding memory usage, when working with Adobe Flash and Labview (actually when working with any other application and Labview) and if anybody has any experience doing something lika that. Is it really a good idea at all to work with two different programs or should I avoid doing this.
What do I have to consider when writing applications for Windows CE.NET. I would say NI Support Centre is going to advice me what applications and packages to buy, or should I know specific what to ask for. If so what should I ask for? Any documents and examples are welcome. Thank you very much!
