Register Read/Write Functionality

adding in some register read/write capability into evb software. no idea to where to start fro this so,looking for some AD software that that has Register Read/Write Functionality. so as to look at the code and use this part as an example for adding in register read/wrtie capability into another part of software for a different board.

every software i request/load up from AD doesnt have the functionality

*ADC board

if any one has in idea, cheers

What is evb or ad software? Is this LabVIEW code of some type?

I don't see where software from Analog Devices has a relationship to LabVIEW.

Could you provide more detail on exactly what your trying to do so we can understand the context to the question.  Reading from and writing to a device is basic functionality within LabView.  The primitive or primitives used depend on the device and / or protocol.

You are saying two different things when you first say the software is from AD and then saying it's developed with LabVIEW. Calling an AD dll is not the same as developing in LabVIEW, in my opinion.

so the AD eval software, that you can get from them, does the usual analysis (FFT,Waveform,Histogram etc).

i was asking about adding into the software, the ability to read/write the register & status bits

AD use labview to write the code used on their evaluatuion software

You still have not explained the low level connection and protocol for the device. The functions you mention are irrelevant for the sort of access you are talking about. The specifics would have to come from AD.
