Remote Debugger - 5 Minutes to Deploy

Issue:

Menu option: Operate -> Debug Application or Shared Library

All files appear to deploy in a few seconds, the last file (the main.vi) takes 5 minutes to complete.  The buttons on "Debug Application or Shared Library" dialog are all disabled and you cannot cancel the operation.

Once all files are deployed debugging does work as it should despite the long deploy time.

I am trying to debug on the cDAQ 9139, LabVIEW 2013.

Can you give us a bit more information about your application?  How large is the project that you are trying to remotely debug?  Are you debugging over a network connection?

The executable is approximately 12 MB and the project has 300+ VIs. All of them download rapidly until reaching the top level main.vi at which point it seems to come to a halt. Looking at task manager there is barely any network activity or read/writes to disk. I am debugging over a network connection, but it is an isolated lab network with very little traffic.

I have not tried to remotely debug connecting directly to the cDAQ but I believe that will be my next step.

Hi Cy Rybicki,

Remotely debugging directly to the cDAQ sounds like a good place to start.  If this doesn't work, could you give more information about what your Main.vi is doing?  Is it much larger than your other files?
