Report Generation Toolkit on Vista and Office 2007

Hi,

I am trying to install Report Generation Toolkit 1.1.2 on LabVIEW 8.5 on a computer with Vista Business and Microsoft Office 2007.

The installation is starting, but I am receiving a message saying that "Microsoft Office 2000 or later is not detected on the computer"

The installation stops and the toolkit is not installed.

What can I do ?

The Report Generation Toolkit does probably not support Office 2007 yet. This is because the Office ActiveX interface used to change with each version and the Report Generation Toolkit comes with specific libraries for each of the Office versions it supports. With the wrong office version the Report Generation Toolkit VIs are normally broken and can't run without some more or less involved modifications.

Well, the executables I distribute work with Office 2007 on XP with Word and with Access.
The executables were developed on XP with Office 2002 and LabVIEW 7.1.1, so I can't
speak the the toolkit installation problem. The ActiveX interface for Office seems fairly stable
after Office 2000.

As a side note, "I" can't seem to work with Word 2007. They have changed the user interface to
such an extent that I can't find the menus or icons to manually edit a document efficiently.

This thread is already open for a while, but I see that there is actually no concluding answer.

Your Report Generation toolkit version (1.1.2) is compatible with Office 2007, but the problem lies with Windows Vista.
Windows Vista is not supported in version 1.1.2, which is currently the most recent version of this toolkit.
There is an official knowledge base about the compatibility of this toolkit.
