Hi!
I need help with a problem I have.
I have a a speedometer that is measuring with wind-speed. The result is presented in a gauge and I need it to reset every 5 sec with a time elapsed thing. The result after 5 sec should be displayed in a digital indicator. How can I do this?
I have attached a pic to show how I have done so far.

Why are you keeping the data acquisition code and "time elapsed thing" in different loops?
Do you want to update the indicator once every five seconds? If so, then use this so called "time elapsed thing" and there should be one boolean output "Time has elapsed", use this output together with a case structure.

I am very new to LabView so I don't understand all the stuff. I want to be able to see vaule of the DAQ Assisant measurement the whole time but to reset it to 0 every 5 sec. Maybe I can't reset the DAQ itself but the vaule sent from the gauge from DAQ, I want it to start from 0 every 5 sec (When the "Elapsed time" has counted to 5 sec). 4
I hope you understand what I mean.
Thanks for fast reply. 😄

Your intension is not clear to me... ![]()
If the Gauge is connected to the output of the DAQ, why would you like to set it to zero after every 5 seconds...?? Well even if you write a code to make this happen, how exactly this gonna help you... because the lower loop (which contains DAQ) is running really fast (there is no delay element in it) and for a moment (everytime after 5 seconds elasped) it will be set to zero and again it will display you the value coming from the DAQ and I'm pretty sure, you'll not be able to see that zero value on the Gauge with your naked eyes... You'll be needing a high frame capturing camera to observ that ZERO MOMENT.

What is the point of setting the value back to 0 every 5 seconds? What exactly are you trying to accomplish by setting it to 0 even though you are still reading?

I will try to explain a bit better now.
I have an anemometer and I want, when I spin it (or the wind spins it), to show to value on a gauge. Then every 5 seconds the gauge resets and counts from 0 again. I hope you understand better now, I cannot explain better than that. Also I don't need the DAQ to reset, it can measure values the whole time.
