Returning from LabVIEW EXE

How can I return a value from a LabVIEW EXE. I tried calling a LabVIEW EXE from another program but its always returing 0 upon exiting. How can I make the LabVIEW EXE return what I want to the calling program.

If you are going to be using this exe as a function you may want to build it into a dll.
