Reuse a key after activate the wrong language pack

I have installed the english language pack and activated it.after i realized my fault i deactivated and deinstalled it.i installed the german language pack. but know there is a problem.when i want to activate this version there is an error. is it possible to use this key for the german version or can i only use this key for the english version?

Hi jerome,

- you can use the same LabVIEW serial number for each language version.

- it's no "fault" to use the English version, I would even recommend that:

  - the German version is sometimes translated very badly

  - the translations most often use the caption of FP elements, so you have to edit twice instead of just the label…

Next time you should discuss all serial number (or activation) problems with your local NI support (Munich: 089-7413130), you have paid for this service…

Thank you for your request. I tried it two times but there was always the error that the serial does not match with the labview version.

I haven't paid for this service. I own the key for the student version only. If there is no solution i will contact the support immediately.

those student versions may be a little bit different. Please ask the support for help.

But again: I really recommend to stick with the English version…

Hi Jerome,

The student english version of LabVIEW has a diffrent serial number then the german version. So there is no way to get the german version with the same activation key. 

You can try to ask for a new key from where you bought LabVIEW.
