Running LabVIEW directly on a LeCroy oscilloscope

Hello,

I'm using a LeCroy oscilloscope which has embedded Windows 7. I've automated the measurements I'm performing using LV but the speed is highly limited by the speed of data transfer over the LAN cable.

Would it be possible to improve the situation by installing LabVIEW directly on the scope and running my VI from there?

That may be an option but it may also compromise the oscilloscope application. I personally avoid to install applications to my Windows based Tektronix scope.
