S&V Toolkit, Multifrequency microphone calibration

We are using a calibrated Piston Phone to set the reference level of the microphone at 114 dB and 1 KHz.  We are using the SVL Calibrate Microphone (DAQmx) VI to measure the calibrated sensor sensitivity.  This works great and seems to be very accurate.

The issue is we also need to calibrate the microphone at multiple frequencies to adjust for the room acoustics.  There is no function within the S&V to allow calibrating a microphone across octaves or selected frequencies.  The SVT ought to have a sub-VI which allows the entry of correction factors at arbitrary frequencies which results in a smoothed correction curve.

This should be a comon problem so does anyone have a solution for multifrequency calibration.  I could add it but most of the S&V Toolkit VIs are locked.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi Matthew,

If you feel like this is something that should be included in the Sound and Vibration Toolkit, I would strongly suggest making a product suggestion.  We are always looking for ways to improve our toolkit and make it more usable for our customers.  Just follow this link, tell us about your application and why this feature should be added.  These suggestions are read by several members of R&D and are taken very seriously.  Thanks for the feedback!
