SCXI 1321 & DAQ E series & gain

hi,
i'm new in labview and related hardware, so i have some questions to clarify
my doubts.

the 1321 has jumpers to set gain, in 2 stages, the final gain is the product
of both;
the daq, instead has a gain that is auto calculated according to the input
voltage limits.
is the total gain the product of tha gain of scxi and daq?
cause i've found a VI that gets the total gain but it doesnt work, another
one instead gets the DAQ gain and works fine

i've found a VI to close the shunt resistor of 1321 but it doesnt work, so
how i can close this resistor?

any help will be appreciated
thank you

I'm not sure what the limitations are of that "get total gain" VI you were talking about are, but I have seen an example on our website that enables the shunt resistor.

Most likely, for either of these programs to work the NI-DAQ software would have to be aware that the terminal block is present as an accessory. Make sure the 1321 is configured as the accessory to your SCXI module in MAX. Bring up the properties window of the SCXI module as it appears in the chassis list in MAX and click on the Accessory tab. SCXI-1321 should be selected.

I hope this helps!
