I have doubt regarding the Rx SINAD measurement procedure per ETSI 300 086 specs. According to the specs document, CCITT filter on the Audio Analyzer HP8903B has to be turned on when doing SINAD measurement, but does not state whether the default 80kHz low pass filter that was on when the Audio Analyzer was first turned on need to be turned off or not. My measurements are done at UHF frequency. After trying both cases, I found out that both SINAD levels are the same. But I believe that the 80kHz low pass filter does have an effect. Does anybody know whether the 80kHz filter need to be turned off or not and why?
