Hello,
I currently have a Simulink Model that I am connecting to LabVIEW using SIT Connection Manager 5.0. The model runs on a Desktop ETS RT system (System 1). I have Indicators and Controls mapped to Simulink blocks and I want to map my Inports and Outputs to a board that is connected to the RT machine. I am currently creating the model on the host machine (System 2) while the RT Machine is booted in the RTOS. When I go to the SIT Connection Manager Hardware I/O Mapping Section and try to select the Device in the RT Machine, nothing shows up. An icon saying the IP of the RT Machine is there but I cannot select the device that is in the RT Machine. I can go to DAQmx and select the board (NI-6259) from the RT Machine, so it is there, and the host computer (System 1) can find it. I am not sure why I am unable to map my inports/outports (which show up in the hardware I/O mapping) to hardware on the RT Machine Board. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a good day.

You aren't doing anything wrong. For various technical reasons, SIT can't automatically detect DAQ boards on an RT target. Instead, what you need to do from the Hardware Dialog in the SIT Connection Manager is to right click the RT Target in the tree and select Add >> DAQmx device. From there, you simply need to supply the correct name for the device. You will also need to say how many inputs and outputs the specific board has. This information doesn't have to be 100% correct, so long as you don't specify more inputs or outputs than the board really has.
Hope this helps!

Michael,
The devices are not automatically added to the tree. Right-click the IP address and choose Add Device.
For more information refer to the SIT help. To get to the relevant section click the Help button in the Configure HW I/O Mappings dialog, or you can view it online:
