This is a real newbie question, but here goes. I want to edit values on a global vi, how do I go about doing that?

1. Make your edits.
2. On the menu select Operate > Make Current Values Default (operates on all the controls) or right click on the control and select Data Operations > Make Current Value Default (operates on a single control).
3. Save the vi.

Thanks Shan. I knew there was a relatively easy solution.
