I seem to recall AQ mentioning that adding temp nodes is indeed something that they do in many of their scripts, but that might have just been in reference to making sure wires aren't overly complicated when they are scripting larger VI's.

Found the thread I remembered, it wasn't AristosQueue, it was ShadesOfGrey (Then DFGrey) and it was about placing wires more exactly.

I agree your question is not easy to understand straight forward.

I uploaded an animated gif. Is that your issue?

 

If so, click inside the case structure once before routing outside.

If this is not your issue please try to explain again.

The image the OP posted was the output of his scripting code, and he was asking what he needed to do to have the output changed.

 

I agree he needs to post the actual scripting VI that he is using as well as the output, since both are of use to answer the question.
