I am trying to use vmware workstion to sequence a labview installation on a XP or W7 image.
I get no errors sequencing Labview 8.6. But importing de sprj file (2.6 GB) in SCCM does. Unfortunately I cannot test the sequenced application without SCCM. Has anyone succeeded in creating a Labview bubble? As you already guessed, installing Labview 8.6 in a virtual desktop went without problems, even connecting to the (not virtual) VLM.
thanks in advance

What do you mean by "sequence LabVIEW"?
What is a LabVIEW "bubble"?
What is "de sprj file" and "SCCM"?
If you can explain some of your mysterious terms and phrases, someone may be able to help answer your question.

Thanks for your respons Ravesn fan, but these terms are not that mysterious. In any case not if you are familiar with Microsoft Software SCCM, APPV and the sequence software.
The idea is that (while you have the sequence software started) you do a regular install of, let's say, Labview. Before you close the sequencing software you start the most often used parts of the program. After closing a SPRJ and SFT (among others) file is generated. Using APPV or SCCM you can advertise these files to any computer in your network (within license agreement, AD, etc.). This is a virtualized version of Labview and is called a software-bubble.
As stated by NI, communication through PCI is impossible using Virtual Desktops, this software virtualization probably won't work either. Using USB interfaces on the other hand should work. Hardware communication is NOT my main issue. deploying / advertising a "bubble" through MSSCM, however, is!
My question is fairly simple. Will it work or not?
Thnx for reading

I doubt many regular forumites are into SCCM. We're mostly engineers, not administrators. However, these forums are monitored by NI Guys who can probably answer that question. I suspect the issues are not technical, but rather legal (licensing concerns).

You get more hits on the Q if you post in on the LAVA (LabVIEW Advanced Virtual Architects) site.
You will find more "switch-hitters' on that site and maybe one of them can add something.

Good point Ben, but I don't see how their sexual orientation has anything to do with it.

thanks Ben, I will post my question there, right now, STRAIGHT away. However I will leave it open here, for a while, also.
