Serial Port with LabView

I have interfaced some of the USB ports but they provide serial conversion with them. that is when USB device is connected it creates a new Com Port. Then you can use standard VISA vis. Probably you may get some of these drives.

If you want to use a color box, then just scale the incoming intensity to match full scale on the color box.

How can I do that? But I dont want to put LEDs on the GUI. I want to put a kind of boxes that can change the intensity from 0 to 255

Aojha: how do I set up the VISA part? Do you have any schematics that I can follow?

BillMe, How can I do that? First How can I map the data coming from the USB (COMM1) to the Boxes? Let say, I want like kind of timmer that set up the reading from the Master side every 100uS (that is an example) and put that on the box and then move to the next one...

For USB communication with VISA, you should read this and this.

One way of changing Box color could be to Place an LED on GUI. Customize its appearce and place the box that you want to display. then change the color of LED.

If you could send me screen Shot of Box probably I could do something.

These are the boxes I placed using a LED. I dont know if they can change color depending of the intensity.
