Serial port overrun error. When sending e-mail using VI

I get the following error when attemting to send an email via this VI. It's my first attempt at automated e-mail.

That dialog is simply showing you two possible reasons for the error. In your case, the second reason is the applicable one. Basically, the server was not accepting a connection on the SMTP port. This is confirmed via www.nwtools.com. Check the server that you're trying to connect to.
