Setting up a Waveform Chart Time Axis for a given timespan

am pumping samples into a waveform chart at 10Hz, want to show 1 minute
duration of time samples on chart, have played with x axis properties
but cant figure out how to make it a fixed time width, or how to set
the # samples in the chart buffer, one would think this would be a
trivial exercise, to by default mimic the most basic attributes of a
stripchart display, but nooo...

have searched previous posts and the consensus seems to be to go with
XY chart instead, but this doesnt make sense to me, why cant I just set
the timespan of the chart x axis?

Hello

your question is not  clear for me. If you want 600 samples in chart buffer, just rightclick on chart in front panel and select chart history length=600.

If this does not solve your problem, please post a simple example  that shows what you want and sombody will help you.
