Setting veritcal and horizontal scale/position

Is it possible to automatically configure vertical (voltage) and horizontal (time base) with and External input trigger (DC - 3GHz)...

Basically, try to capture waveform by preventing vertical 'clipping' and the scope take measurement at some specific time relative to the trigger event.

Does anyone have an experience to set a similar scope (TDS 8000)?

'Do scope Setup_mod.vi' is a part of subVI for scope setup.

Unfortunately I do not have an answer to your question.  The instrument driver for the TDS 8000 is provided by Tektronix, so you may be able to contact them regarding its use.
