Hi,
I connect a CAN-device on my local computer. Then I log into a computer via remote desktop and I would like to share my device on that session. How can I use my device on a remote session.
I am using windows 7 on both.

I don't really understand the question. Remote desktop lets you see/control the "local" computer that the CAN device is connected to. If you log on to the "local" computer the CAN device is still running on the "local" computer that has the hardware and the remote computer is able control the "local" computer like you are sitting in front of it.
So we would need more detail of what you are trying to accomplish to give you a better answer.

On my local computer (PC1) I log to an other computer (PC2) via remote desktop and I start working on PC2
On my remote session (PC2): when i go on NI Max, I don`t see the NI-CAN device.
Obviosly, i see it on my local computer (PC1). But, i would like to use it on my remote session (PC2).

So you are on PC1 and the CAN device is installed on PC2. If you go to PC2 you can see and use the CAN device with no problems? But when you remote into PC2 from PC1 you are not able to see the CAN device?

No 🙂
The can CAN device is plugged by USB on PC1. I want to share/use it on PC2.
For exemple, i can share a hard-drive, Usb-camera, Serial-port of PC1 to use it on PC2 . I just want to do the same with the CAN-port
I am using remote desktop, is there a way or a better tool to do that ?

Remote Desktop does not allow sharing arbitrary devices, there needs to be specific support for it. NI once had, and maybe still supports, remote access to some data acquisition devices (through their own driver, not through Remote Desktop), but I've never seen remote access to a CAN port.

My first thought would be to plug the CAN device into PC2
I have never tried to do that before, hopefully someone can will stop by with the answer then.

See here: http://superuser.com/questions/49285/access-local-usb-devices-from-a-remote-pc-via-remote-desktop. If the driver doesn't support it - and I think it's highly unlikely that the NI CAN driver supports such sharing - then you cannot share your CAN port through Remote Desktop.

Thanks Nathand,
I did that and it does't appear in the list.
Is there a better software than remote desktop ?
