Sine voltage output to linear motor

I'd like to build in a simple vi which would allow me to 1) simulate a given voltage signal (triangle, sine etc) with the desired frequency and amplitude 2) output it in a continuous manner to my motor through the feedthrough module 3) visualize the actual real-time signal output sent to the motor in a waveform graph. I tried to combine the "Simulate signal" and "DAQ assistant" functions from the palette but I haven't been able to make anything work so far... I double-checked your documentation on-line but the examples I could find involved at least two physical channels and some triggering/timing modules that do not seem relevant for my application... What procedure/basic steps should I follow to get this to work?

Thanks!

Thibault.

Hi Thibault,

I would like clarify that if you wish to output a signal you cannot simulate the signal. I believe the example Cont Gen Voltage Wfm-Int Clk.vi performs exactly what you are trying to do. This can be found by selecting Help in LabVIEW. Select find examples…>>and the browse to  the following location.
