Someone knows who is the manufacturer of the CB68LP SCSI2 connector?

Hi, I've a bit problem.

I've designed my own PCB board for special signal conditioning. My surprise has been when I was going to solder the SCSI2 connector and i see that is not a standar SCSI2 connector. All connectors i've seen from HARTING, AMP, Farnell, RS have the large part on side up and the short part on side down of the connector viewed from the front. The connector of the CB68LP Board is different. It has the large part on side down and the short part on side up viewed from the front of the board.

Well, my question is if someone knows who is the manufacturer or equivalent of this connector.

Thank's.

Hi Jordi,

First you can buy this connector from NI (P.N. 777601-01).

https://www.ni.com/en/search.html?pg=1&ps=10&q=777600-01

If you want to buy direct you can find the manufacturer P.N. in this link: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/ad0f282819902a1986256f79005462b1/8ecf4bad615f18bc8625648400521e97/$FILE/Connector_Part_Numbers.xls

Hope I've helped,

Elad

Hi,

I've seen the cross reference table from Excel file in the link below and exists an error with the part number of AMP connectors.

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/ad0f282819902a1986256f79005462b1/8ecf4bad615f18bc8625648400521e97/$FILE/Connector_Part_Numbers.xls

I've purchased the AMP part but is not the same connector of the CB-68LPR Terminal Block from National Instrument.
I attach a picture and you can see the difference. One is looking downward and the other upward, then my pcb don't matches ok with the pinout of connector.

Someone can help me?

Thank you very much.

This connector works when you lay out your board for the AMP part looks as if you layed out your board by not using the library that amp provides. I am doing a lyout right now with this connector and I am using the amp part for it and although it is flipped Pin 1 is still pin 1 when it is layed out right.

Hi Jhoskins,

I know that i can design the layout right corresponding to the AMP part, but the problem is that the PCB is now manufactured, and is for that reason that I'm looking the same connector of the CB68LP terminal block. I've made the layout that matches with NI connector and I have very pcbs manufactured.

Thank you.
