It really depends on what the frequency spectrum of your noise and of your measurement. You want to filter out your noise only without accidentally filtering out your signal. First, you should plot a frequency spectrum to see what you have first. Then, you can decide do you want a low, band, or high pass filter. You can do the filtering either through circuit (analog) or within your code (digital, DSP).
