Source control with LV student edition

I recently upgraded my evaluation version to the Student Version of LV.

I had previously configured source code control in the eval. version which I really need for my project(s), but now to my suprise the Student Edition doesn't support SCC at all!

It was under my impression that the student version had all the capabilities the professional version has, besides there's a watermark and it can't be used for commercial use.

I contacted NI support and they told me bluntly it was simply not possible to use SCC in the student version, which is unacceptable for me.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

The student edition is equivalent to the full version of LabVIEW, not the professional. What scc provider are you using? I've used tortoise/svn for years without needing the built-in hooks. Everything is just done in Windows Explorer.

I was using the TFS MSSCCI provider with project hosting on codeplex.com. 

I'll give tortoiseSVN a try.
