Special Challenge

Who says Labview developers have no sense of humor.  Might I propose the Labview Rube Goldberg challenge?  Who can come up with the most convoluted, conplex Labview solution to the most trivial problem?

Better yet....who can come up with a VI that uses EVERY possible library function?  I believe a special award is in order for anyone who can make a VI that actually RUNS, using this criteria!

Your thoughts.

Here's an example, just to get things started.  This adds two single-digit positive numbers. 🙂

That's no challenge....LabVIEW noobs do a great job of writing obfuscated code, just like noobs do in any language...Smiley Wink

Indeed. And, given the hundreds of functions available in LabVIEW there's no limit to what you can do, so how can you create meaningful criteria? Besides, I'm afraid that somebody will actually create such an obfuscated VI that it might actually blow up the computer! Smiley Very Happy

All you gotta do is close your eyes, click away, and hope that something meaningful comes out.  Nine times out of ten you can create something this way.  However, you won't know what it does or have any need for it ever.

I can only imagine the complexity of these with simplistic results.
Operating version 7.1 here..

I couldn't compete with the noobs who come from 5 years of C++ into LabVIEW.

They haven't yet learned about all the crap they don't have to do anymore...

Look around on the forum.
