Still have the compile problem

I checked the directory according to the steps. Both the path and the configure are correct.

Let me express the problem more specifically:
1.Start to compile, the client displays�Successfully started compile�
2.Several seconds later, the server displays�Unable to spawn compiler�
3.Then the client displays"Board clock of 40MHz Met:No(0MHz)"
we checked the xflow.log file and it shows CompileServer got an error when calling Xilinx

compile tools.

It seems that the error is caused by inexsitence of file toplevel_gen.prj.

Hi Yang,

There are a few other things that may be a problem. Here are some other things to try:

• Verify that the Xilinx directory is installed into a DOS compliant directory. The default directory is C:\NILVFPGA\Xilinx. If the path to the Xilinx directory has more than 8 characters in each folder name, then this will be a problem. To fix this problem, please reinstall the Xilinx Tools:
  1. Access the Control Panel of the PC and launch the Add/Remove Programs dialog.
  2. 
     Locate National Instruments Software and select the Change button.
  3. Highlight the NI LabVIEW FPGA product and select the Modify button.
  4. Navigate through the window options, making sure that the Xilinx tools will be uninstalled.
  5. Repeat the process to reinstall the Xilinx Tools into a DOS-compliant directory.
• Verify that your command prompt is working as expected:
  1. Open a Command Prompt by selecting Start�Run and entering cmd.
  2. Browse to the Xilinx directory (typically C:\LVFPGA\Xilinx)
  3. Enter "Start" in the command prompt. You should get a new command window with the same current directory. If the command prompt starts in a different directory, then there is a setting in your registry that is causing this problem. Let me know if this is the problem and we will work to resolve it.
• Check the Xilinx Environment Variables
  1. In Windows XP, right-click on the My Computer icon and select properties
  2. Click the Environment Variables button on the Advanced Tab
  3. You should see two entries for Xilinx:
     XIL_TIMING_ZEROFLOORS=TRUE
     XILINX = C:\NILVFPGA\Xilinx (or the path where you installed Xilinx)
  4. If there are no settings in the Environment variables for Xilinx, you can attempt to manually enter them or repair the installation.
