I just stumbled about this problem by chance and did not purposedly wire through a label. I am just much less a... about these kind of things than many, it would seem.
But personally, I don't see what the problem is with hidden wires. In fact, I'd loved to be able to hide more of them (see some of my recent posts in other threads)!
I dunno about hidden wires. It's not like you're trying to hide speaker wires in your living room. I would think you want all your wires laid out in a logical way because it is, in effect, a wiring diagram. I can't imagine an electrical block digram with hidden wires; for the same reasons, I cannot imagine a LabVIEW block diagram with hidden wires.
I respectfully submit that hiding wires obfuscates, not clarifies, LabVIEW code.

Read this post and tell me which of the two diagram versions is more obfuscating. I contend that hiding wires that don't take part in the action is a desirable thing. I know it is illegal in Texas, but perfectly legit in California.

I'll just say that I respecttfully disagree. Any time you hide something, someone will eventually have to go hunting for it. Pray that it isn't you in six months. 😉 I think we've all victimized ourselves at least once by doing something that seemed really cool at the time, but six months and a few projects later, looked at the code and scratched our heads...
