Style Guides: academic thesis project

Hello,
we are starting a project concerning good style of wiring, placing, naming, commenting, iconing etc aspects of visual program code / diagram (not GUI or front panel). Research will be do mainly from view point of computer science.

So, all links, hints and comments on Style Guides, above and beyond example Style Guides are welcome!

I think that your best bet here is to look at the discussion topics on the Developer Zone. There was a topic on style and programming guidelines. Quite a bit of discussion and included guidelines from a few different people. You'll see that there are some things held in common and some things that were debated.

In addition to Developer Exchange topics, chapter 6 of the LabVIEW Development Guidelines manual (also found by selecting Help>View Printed Manuals within LabVIEW) is a great free resource.

For further reference, I would suggest the article Rules to Wire By parts one and two found on www.ltrpub.com
