Sun elcetronics EC10

Hi,

I am using the sun elctronics driver for EC10 chamber. This driver lets me set the chamber controls. I want to send some command to this chamber but I am having a hard time. I am a beginner in labview. Please help as soon as possible.

Impossible to help without knowing what your problem is. Simply saying you are having a 'hard time' is not adequate.

What I meant when I said I am having a hard time is, I am not sure how to send commands to the equipment.

But you already said that the driver allows you to set the chamber controls. The driver is obviously sending commands. If you want to send commands that are not in the driver, look to see how the driver does it.

You also need to provide some basic information. You haven't said what type of connection (GPIB or Serial) you have. You haven't mentioned what LabVIEW functions you have tried to use. You haven't mentioned the commands you are trying to send.

I don't want to guess which driver you are using either. There are two. Post the one you downloaded.

I am using the 8.0 driver. The connection is through GPIB. i am looking to send commands like "OUT" to the chamber.

Well, I looked through the driver and did not see any 'OUT' command so if that is something you will need, you will have to add it to the driver. What I would suggest is that you debug GPIB communication in MAX. If you need help with formatting this command, you probably need to post an electronic copy of the programming manual so someone can look at the exact syntax required.
