Hi,
I am starting to design a sbRIO system capable of EtherCAT Communication.
This page https://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374786m.html states that only these sbRIO devices support "NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT" module:
sbRIO-9607
sbRIO-9627
sbRIO-9651
I wanted to select sbRIO-9607 as a cost-effective solution, but this device is in a "mature" phase. Is there any alternative sbRIO that you could suggest as a cost-effective replacement for sbRIO-9607?
Thanks.

Hi
This is an old post and you've probably found a solution, but the info below may help someone else.
https://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374786m.html has a list of EtherCAT 21.5 capable sbRIOs. These are:
9603
9608
9609
9628
It seens that the ones you mentioned are 20.5 capable.
Thanks

Here is the more recent document link

Version 21.5 listings (adding quite a few from 20.0 update and some were discontinued)
Also here is a good reference about using RMC and making a daughter board for EtherCAT using Eth1 port
